Our severe weather risk has now been upgraded to an enhanced risk from the metro area & I-35 eastward for late Friday. With the severe weather chances later today, we also have a Heat Advisory from 12 PM – 9 PM Friday. SPC OUTLOOKS:
Earlier this morning, the SPC upgraded portions of the slight risk to an enhanced risk. The new risk area includes the metro areas and most of west-central Wisconsin.

DEW POINTS:
Our dew point values will also be high for our Friday, heat index values are expected into the upper 90s.
HEAT ADVISORY:
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for western and southwestern Minnesota, which includes the metro from 12 PM – 9 PM Friday. Temperatures will be in the 90s, with heat index values approaching the upper 90s to 100s.
AIR QUALITY ADVISORY:
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an Air Pollution health advisory for portions of Western, Central, and Southern Minnesota from 10 AM – 9 PM Friday. Temperatures in the low 90s, sunny skies, and light southwest winds will promote the creation of ozone in those areas.
