We closed the books in June with some pleasant weather and now enter July on the same note. July is typically a warm month. It’s also the month where we start to see our average highs start to lower.
AVERAGES FOR JULY:
We start the month with an average high of 83°, that’s the same temperature we end the month at. The only difference is we are a little warmer in the morning towards the end of the month. The warmest temperature we have had in July was 108° set back in 1936.
4TH OF JULY FACTS:
Only four years ago, we had our warmest Independence Day in a while, with a high temperature of 101°. But we have stayed almost consistent with high temperatures in the 70s to 80s.
MONTHLY OUTLOOK:
July is expected to be warmer than average, with near-average precipitation amounts. The graphic below is the temperature outlook from the Climate Prediction Center.
