RECORD BROKEN AT MSP TODAY

Lots of sunshine and a nice breeze from the southwest pushed our temperatures into the upper 50s with some 60s across the area. The last time we had 50’s in our area was back in November. Keep in mind. Our average first 50° temperature is in April. These warm temperatures melted some more of the little snowpack we still have left in the area. The map below shows the temperatures around 2:50 PM on Saturday afternoon.

Our previous record high temperature for today was set back in 1896 at 54°. Today we broke that with a high of 58°. But remember, areas like Willmar had temperatures in the 60s.
