We’ve been spoiled the last few days with way above-average temperatures for most of the Twin Cities area. That nice January thaw is on its way out, so enjoy it before it’s too late! A stretch of wintry precipitation will push through late Wednesday evening through the overnight. Expect the precipitation to be a wintry mix before switching over to all snow Thursday morning. While the storm switches to all snow, a glaze of ice is possible in some areas. Winds will start to kick up a notch late Wednesday night and continue through Thursday, gusts near 40 MPH are possible. Total snow accumulations of 2″ – 5″ are possible, with localized heavier amounts in some areas.
