Another Blast of Snow For Wednesday

ALERTS: A Winter Storm Warning blankets the areas expecting 6″ + inches of snow, with a Winter Weather Advisory for the areas in the 4″ -6″ range.

TOTALS: Below is the total ice accumulation map from the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities. Mainly 6″ – 8″ of snow is expected for most of the coverage area. Isolated areas with higher amounts are likely.

IMPACTS: The impact of this storm is the snowfall that will impact the commute. Minneapolis schools have already called school for Wednesday off as of Tuesday evening.

TIMING: Snow will begin after midnight, with heavier snow between 5 AM and 5 PM. Winds will be breezy from 10-15 MPH during the 12-hour time frame as well.

DRIVING CONCERNS: Driving will be tricky, with heavy snow entering by around 10 AM. If necessary to drive, remember to keep your headlights on, give plows room, and drive cautiously.
